Bill Morrison

This is a beautiful 17x24” PRINT of The Jetsons created to look like they are on the cover of a comic book by NCS President Bill Morrison. Bill created the original painting for a special Hanna-Barbera themed art show at the Van Eaton Galleries in Sherman Oaks, CA in 2014. While the painting was traditional, he did the lettering on the computer, and created a print for display in the gallery. Bill writes, “Ruth Clampett (daughter of the late animator Bob Clampett) saw the print and liked it. She thought about making it an official limited edition print, so she asked me if she could do a very limited run to sell at the WB employee sale on the lot.” This print did not originally come with a COA, so this is complete as is. The print is hand numbered 31/250, and is signed by Bill Morrison.

Bill Morrison’s career started as an illustrator for movie posters back in the 1980s and 1990s with such classics as the horror film House, and believe it or not, many for Disney movies such as re-releases of Peter Pan, Cinderella, Bambi, & The Jungle Book, and the first run posters for Oliver & Company, Mickey Mouse in Prince and the Pauper, and The Little Mermaid (yes, the one of urban legend fame). For the past 25 years, Bill has been working with Matt Groening at Bongo Comics art directing many comic books and hard cover Simpsons books. Somewhere in all of that, Bill created his own comics Roswell: Little Green Man and the Dark Horse Comics mini-series Dead Vengeance.
