You are bidding on an ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATION of Elric of Melnibonè by the extremely talented Dan Brereton. It was created in pencil and watercolor on 9x12” Bristol board, and is signed in the lower right corner by the artist.
Elric was originally created as a character in novels, and eventually found his way into comics in 1972 as a guest of Conan the Barbarian. He has been the subject of his own stories now and then since all published by DC Comics.
Dan Brereton is an Eisner Award winning artist and the brain behind the brilliant Nocturnals comic books as well as the noted Giantkiller series. He also has created work for Disney Television Animation and on the hit TV show Numb3rs from a few years ago.
