Dan Parsons

This is a pretty special offering in our auctions. This is the ORIGINAL ART from the final page in the graphic novel that was the official comics adaptation of Peter Jackson’s King Kong movie in 2006. Kong has plummeted from the top of the Empire State Building, and as the crowd gathers around this curious creature, Carl Denham (Jack Black in the movie) says, “…it was beauty killed the beast.” The art measures 11.5x17.5” on standard Dark Horse Comics Bristol board, and was donated to us by artist Dan Parsons who said about the work, “I did finished pencils and inks on Dustin Weaver’s breakdowns.” The art is signed by Dan Parsons in the upper right side of the art.

As an added bonus, the winning bidder shall also receive a copy of the Dark Horse published graphic novel, the title page of which contains a special original drawing of King Kong himself by Dan Parsons just for this auction, who also signed the comic.

You don’t have to mount an expedition and travel to a dangerous remote jungle to acquire this Kong. You can bring him home from the comfort of your easy chair with the click of a mouse.
